Ty and Jax
”Based on our existing cat’s temperament to other animals we had the expectation that the two of them would become fast friends. Unfortunately, due to the circumstances at the time we weren’t able to introduce the two of them properly and they have ended up having a rocky start. Further, the way the two were interacting was different from what I had experienced, and I was having a hard time understanding some of our new little guy’s behaviors. I had exhausted all the tricks I had learned over the years for introducing two cats and was being recommend by family, friends, and even my vet, that I should consider re-homing my new little guy. However, he has had such a rough start in life and excluding his interactions with my current cat he is such a great cat. I just didn’t want to give up on him.
In comes Britta’s Animal Training and Behavior Consulting. Beyond her experience and previous reviews, what also drew me to Britta was her flexibility with making house calls. This was important to me for the first visit. While I’m still on this journey, I have to say Britta has been amazing to work with. She was so thorough in her initial intake and really took the time to understand the dynamics in the house. She has provided a wealth of information and has been very accessible and encouraging as we’ve been working on behavioral modifications for the boys. And we all have been enjoying implementing these new behavioral modifications.
However, perhaps most important, is Britta has given us back hope that this can work. And has continued to encourage us on the journey. If you are someone who is struggling to integrate a new cat into your home and or having some behavioral issues, I would highly recommend Britta’s Animal Training and Behavior Consulting.”
Update from client: “Hi Britta- it’s almost been about a year - I wanted to send you a couple quick update on the boys- I think pictures say it all. Thank you again for all your help.”
