Dogs
Building confidence is important for the prevention of behavior issues.
Being able to settle in places with high levels of distractions is an important life skill.
Foundation Behavior Training
Foundation behavior training serves as the cornerstone of your dog's development, much like a child learning the essentials of reading, writing, and arithmetic. A strong foundation equips your dog with the tools they need to grow into a productive, healthy, and well-adjusted companion.
My training philosophy centers on fostering a relationship built on trust, cooperation, and mutual respect. Fear and force have no place in my methods.

A set up with a reactive dog and building core skills, like automatic eye contact.
Teaching dogs an incompatible or alternate behavior is sometimes necessary to prevent undesirable behavior.
Behavior Consulting and Training
Behavior consulting goes beyond foundational behavior training such as sit, stay, and come. It addresses a variety of complex behavioral issues, including:
- Aggression
- Fear, anxiety, and lack of confidence
- Fence fighting
- Excessive chewing and destructiveness
- Hyperactivity, unruliness, and difficulty settling or focusing
Process Overview
Behavior consulting begins with a 15 to 20-minute discovery call, where I learn more about your dog and the challenges you’re facing. This is followed by a detailed questionnaire that dives deeper into your dog's life. The information you provide helps me better understand your situation and prepare for our consultation and follow-up sessions.
The consultation itself takes place in your home and typically lasts 1 ½ to 2 hours. During this session:
- I explain the underlying causes of your dog's behavior.
- I outline the steps and training plan to achieve your desired results.
- You’ll receive immediate advice and recommendations to restore peace to your life.
If you choose to move forward with training and behavior consulting, I will design a customized training package tailored to your short-term and long-term goals.
Rates
Initial consultation (1 ½ to 2 hours): $350
Subsequent sessions: $185 per hour. I will let you know how many sessions I recommend in our consultation.
